Refer to undernoted e.mail , we received the TDS Certificate No.116723 for Rs.72,120/-dated 31.07.2010 against BLA No. TBICICI008575613 for Rs.6,00,000/- dated 26.05.2004. In which you did not mentioned the our I. T. PAN No.AABTM2085Q and deduct the TDS amount @ 20 % instead of 10 %. So please tell us how we can getting the credit for Rs. 72,120/- from Income Tax Department.
We have submitted our PAN No in Application Form and we also submitted the PAN No. in 15G in other investments of GOI 8 % SAVING ( TAXABLE) BONDS 2003 each year from 2004 to 2010.
Therefore, we request you to please reissue the TDS Certificate mentioning our PAN No.AABTM2085Q and we return back to you the previous TDS Certificate in which in the space of PAN No. written APPLIED FOR.

In this connection, please note that TDS will be deducted in the year of maturity on the difference between Investment amount and redemption amount. Irrespective of whether the income from the bonds has been offered to tax by the bond-holder on accrual basis year to year is declared only in the year of redemption, TDS will be required to be deducted on maturity of bonds.
Please note the interest paybale on these bonds are subject to TDS if interest amount exceeds Rs.10,000.00 pa .
If the interest amount varies between Rs.10,000/- and Rs.160,000/- on maturity Form 15G can be submitted and in case the interest exceeds Rs.1,60,000/- investors are required to submit Exemption Certificate u/s 197 or Form 15AA issued by Income Tax Authorities.
TDS will be deducted and paid credit to the GOVT treasury, unless form 15AA / exemption certificate is filed with us for exemption.
